Yes, please respect the very loose way I used the term "sustainable" in the entry title.  You think I would learn to be constrained in such practice from all of those businesses that market their product as "organic!" 

Let's get to the summary of the recent Biodiesel workshop: 

Maria "Mark" Alovert has bestowed knowledge and facilitated hands-on experience to such an enthuiastic group that have backgrounds as varied as their aspirations.  For the layman, including myself (after comparing myself with her),  we learned the simple biodiesel manufacturing process.  This involved selecting the viable options for bio-based diesel vehicle fueling; selecting, measuring, handling the ichemicals for making biodiesel; the selection and set-up of equipment; the procedures for all process stages; practical solutions or remedies to undesirable occurances or results; and resources for further expansion.   Students were expected to perform a process called "titration", make their own batch of biodiesel, experience the "washing" process, and even assemble a biodiesel manufacturing kit.

For those who attended, I recommend that you keep your focus and enthusiasm in this field.  Please check on this site from time to time to find new features that are biodiesel-related.  Shea Studium is set to commence a small onsite project in upcoming months.  If you can see yourself in this project, well this is a personal invitation to contact Kevin Shea via email or skype and let your interest or commitment be known.
